Taran Matharu
Taran er en britisk fantasyforfatter, kendt for serierne Summoner og Contender (på dansk Påkalderen og DelTager). Hans bøger er oversat til 15 forskellige sprog, og har flere gange ligget på New York Times bestsellerliste.
Som bare 22-årig begyndte han at skrive Summoner-serien i forbindelse med NaNoWriMo i 2013, og han debuterede som udgivet forfatter med første bind i 2015.
Første bind i Tarans nye fantasyserie for voksne, Dragon Rider, er netop udkommet på engelsk.
Taran besøgte i 2023 Fantasyfestivalen for første gang, og vi er glade for at kunne byde ham velkommen tilbage.
Fantasy Festival in Elsberg was a wonderful experience. While at many other international festivals, I am only able to say I know the airport, the hotel and the convention centre, but Fantasy Festival arranged extra days to explore alongside a guide, visiting Elsberg's famous aquarium (and their rescued seals!), its historic Viking Village and even their beautiful beaches - as well as free time to explore at my own pace.
The venue was fantastic, vibrant and full of smiles, with well organised events, artisans, street foods and artists of all kinds. I was afforded the opportunity to hang out with my publishers, sign books, and even meet with authors both local and international over meals, folk dancing and local music.
I cannot recommend Fantasy Festival enough!
