# Trudi Canavan

2016s Guest of Honour var den australske bestsellerforfatter Trudi Canavan som besøgte Danmark for første gang.

Trudi Canavan er født i Kew i Melbourne, Australien, og har altid digtet historier. Hun arbejdede som freelance illustrator og designer mens hun skrev på serien *De sorte troldmænd* hvoraf første bind udkom på engelsk i 2001 og på dansk i 2007.

Hendes besøg på Fantasyfestivalen var første gang hun besøgte Danmark, og vi var glade for at kunne lægge hus til Danmarkspremieren.

Besøget blev arrangeret i samarbejde med forlaget Tellerup, og gennemført med støtte fra Statens Kunstfond.
